Bluesky

Bluesky can move a launch among people who already follow you or your starter packs. A cold post is as weak as cold X. Starter packs and custom feeds are the distribution mechanic.

Bluesky is a public network with a denser media/tech slice than Threads and a different graph than X. Launch posts work when you have been posting for months, or when a feed (What’s Launching, etc.) actually includes you.

X (Twitter)

A launch thread performs in proportion to the account behind it. Build in public first; the thread is the payoff, not the start.

The launch thread is still the indie playbook on X: a short demo, why you built it, a clear link, and replies from people who already follow the work. The honest caveat is that X does not hand you distribution. A thread from a 40-follower account is a whisper.
