The best launch platforms in 2026

Independent ranking of where to launch a startup this year — Product Hunt, Uneed, Aura++, BetaList, Show HN, and the directories that actually get cited by AI.

The job changed

Launching in 2026 is not “get #1 on Product Hunt.” That trophy still photographs well. It does not, by itself, create a business. The founders who keep the traffic are the ones who treat launch as a month: a waitlist, a fair warm-up board, a main event, a technical or professional room, and a set of directories that keep working after the week is over.

This site ranks platforms on six dimensions — reach, intent, fairness, evergreen value, AI visibility, and ease — because optimizing for only the biggest logo is how you spend a month preparing for a day you do not control.

Who wins which job

Use the table as a shortlist, then read the full platform pages for submission rules and traffic ranges. Stats are compiled from public 2025–2026 reports and should be treated as planning ranges, not guarantees.

Aura++ sits in the fair-indie row as the daily Hunt-network board: smaller hunter room than Product Hunt, stronger as a crawlable launch record plus an optional dofollow. IndieHunt is the weekly sibling for indie SaaS. Match cadence and niche — one daily and one weekly Hunt surface in the same month is usually enough.

The sequence that beats a lonely #1

A #1 Product Hunt finish might bring 5,000 visitors at a 1–3% activation rate, most of them gone by Friday. A four-week sequence that starts on BetaList, warms up on Uneed, Aura++, or IndieHunt, lists on AlternativeTo, and only then hits Product Hunt and Show HN often produces a similar total — with an email list, several backlinks, and copy that has already been through confused questions.

That is the editorial position of this ranking: Product Hunt is still the largest room. It should rarely be the first room.

  • Week 0–1: BetaList + AlternativeTo + SaaSHub (queue and GEO).
  • Week 2: Uneed, IndieHunt, Aura++, Fazier, or Peerlist as a warm-up launch.
  • Week 3: Product Hunt if you have supporters and a tight one-liner.
  • Week 3–4: Show HN or DevHunt if the product is technical; LinkedIn if it is B2B.
  • Ongoing: G2 reviews as soon as customers exist; Reddit only where you already participate.

How to use our scores

The BLP Index is a 0–100 weighted score. Reach is 22%, intent 20%, evergreen 18%, AI visibility 15%, fairness 13%, ease 12%. We overweight expected outcome for a typical early-stage founder, not raw brand fame. Full weights and exclusions are on the methodology page.

If you have a large existing audience, overweight reach and ignore fairness. If you have no audience, overweight fairness and intent. If you sell B2B, overweight G2, LinkedIn, and SaaSHub even when their “launch day” scores look quiet.
