DevHunt
Weekly, GitHub-verified launches for developer tools.
DevHunt exists because developers got tired of tourist traffic on general boards. Listings are for APIs, SDKs, infra, and open source. GitHub login is required to vote, which is both a spam filter and a culture gate.
Launches run weekly. The audience is small and exact. Per-visitor conversion for a real developer tool is often better than Product Hunt. Momentum is below the 2023–24 peak, which is worth knowing: you are launching into a quieter but still qualified room.
If your product needs a GitHub README to make sense, you are in the right place. If it needs a lifestyle screenshot, you are not.
Scheduled weekly cycle
Should you launch on DevHunt?
Yes — this is a fairer weekly cycle than Product Hunt if you have no private hunter list.
DevHunt is an actual launch surface: a date, a ranking or homepage slot, and comments. Cost: Free. None required.
Do not expect Product Hunt volume. Do expect a lasting page and a room small enough that silence is obvious. Stay in the comments for the whole cycle.
When: Week 2 as a warm-up, or as the only board if you are skipping Product Hunt. Not the same morning as Show HN.
Launch here if
- Developer tools, APIs, and open source
- Products that can survive technical scrutiny
- Founders who already live on GitHub
Skip if
- Non-developer products
- Marketing sites with no tryable artifact
- Anyone who cannot log in with GitHub
This page answers DevHunt only. For an ordered stack by stage, buyer, and goal, use the shortlist recommender or the four-week sequence.

How to submit
01
Have a GitHub presence
Login, and ideally a public repo or a technical docs site, will match the room.
02
Submit in the weekly window
Follow the current DevHunt process (site form / GitHub flow). Keep the description dry and specific.
03
Talk like a developer
Stack, constraints, what is free, what is open source. Skip the vision deck.
Tips
- Pair with a Show HN if the technical story is strong.
- Do not launch a no-code consumer app here.
- Momentum is quieter than 2024 — still worth it for the audience match.
- Link docs, not just a marketing homepage.
