LinkedIn

Long-form distribution into professional networks.

CommunitiesAlways onFounded 2003Reviewed September 2026

LinkedIn is where B2B buyers already spend time. A founder-account post with a specific story — who the product is for, a screenshot, a number — can reach hiring managers, operators, and practitioners who will never open Product Hunt.

Company pages are weak. Personal accounts with a real network are strong. The format that works in 2026 is still a written post, maybe a carousel or short demo, not a link dump. Comments from teammates in the first hour matter more than hashtags.

Use LinkedIn on a different day from Product Hunt so your network is not asked to show up in two places at once. For many B2B tools, this channel converts better per impression than any launch board.

A room, not a submit form

Should you launch on LinkedIn?

Launch here only if you can take the local rules and stay in the thread.

LinkedIn rewards presence more than a scheduled card. A cold account will not invent a crowd here. Post only if you already belong, or pick a fairer board first. Audience: Professionals, operators, and B2B buyers in your graph and their graphs.

Do not stack this with another comment-heavy launch on the same morning. Show HN, Reddit, X, and Product Hunt all want the same hours.

When: A different day from Product Hunt. After the one-liner has survived a smaller room.

Launch here if

  • B2B products
  • Founders with a professional network
  • Narrative launches with a screenshot and a number

Skip if

  • Consumer apps with no workplace angle
  • Empty company pages
  • Stealth posts with no detail

This page answers LinkedIn only. For an ordered stack by stage, buyer, and goal, use the shortlist recommender or the four-week sequence.

Always on — no hunter clock

List when the facts are true. Do not treat this as launch day. A quiet afternoon is the right time.

  1. 01Post as a member, not a cold link dump
  2. 02One comment-heavy room per morning
  3. 03Stay in the thread until the questions stop
  4. 04Same one-liner you used on the last board

Stack with

Same launch month, different job — not a second hunter day.

Timing

LinkedIn does not compete for launch-day hours. Do it on a quiet afternoon so the hunter morning stays free.

How to submit

  1. 01

Post from a person, not the brand

Founder and operator accounts outperform company pages for launches.

  2. 02

Lead with the customer and a number

Who it is for, what changed, and a screenshot. Put the URL once, not five times.

  3. 03

    Seed comments honestly

Teammates can comment with real thoughts. Do not fake customer quotes.
