Lede Press

A daily public edition of product stories, with one contextual product link.

DirectoriesAlways onFounded 2026Reviewed September 2026

Lede Press is a daily index of product stories, not a logo directory and not a launch-day leaderboard. Each live page names the product, says who it is for, and contains one product link in a sentence. On the reciprocal free plan and the $29 plan that anchor is dofollow: no nofollow, sponsored, or ugc. The free nofollow plan uses rel=nofollow and does not ask for a site credit.

Projects are free. One reciprocal page and one nofollow page are allowed per project. Reciprocal and nofollow share five free slots a day at 08:00 UTC; a page that misses the day’s five waits in the queue. A $29 page skips that queue, goes live the day it is ready, and adds an SEO, AEO, and GEO edit, FAQ schema, Article and product structured data, an llms.txt listing, a richer Markdown twin, a custom image, a Pinterest pin, IndexNow, and up to three homepage relaunches. No site credit is required on the $29 plan.

The publisher’s own pricing page says SEO agencies commonly charge $500 to $1,000 for coverage on a site you do not run, and it also says the domain rating of ledepress.com is 0. Treat the $29 as the price of a public article you can open the same day, not as a ranking guarantee. Inspect the live anchor after publish. The longer comparison is /get-editorial-backlinks.

Evergreen listing

Should you launch on Lede Press?

List here. Do not treat Lede Press as launch day.

Lede Press is a catalog page, not a hunter room. There is no 18-hour comment thread to win. The value is a crawlable URL, a possible backlink (Dofollow on the reciprocal free plan and the $29 plan. One link in the article. A separate free plan is not followed), and showing up when someone — or an assistant — compares tools.

Do this on a quiet afternoon, with the same one-liner you used on AlternativeTo and your homepage. Paying for a featured slot before the free listing exists is usually backwards.

When: Any week. Best in week 0–1 so the page exists before humans arrive from a board.

Launch here if

  • A daily-edition write-up that explains the product in plain language
  • A dofollow contextual link at $0 with a site credit, or $29 with no credit
  • Replacing an opaque $500 agency guest post with a URL you can open

Skip if

  • Buying a domain-rating number — the publisher states DR 0
  • A Product Hunt-sized launch crowd
  • A comparison shortlist (Listed Press) or a long buyer explainer (Piece Press)

This page answers Lede Press only. For an ordered stack by stage, buyer, and goal, use the shortlist recommender or the four-week sequence.

Same launch month, different job — not a second hunter day.

Timing

Lede Press does not compete for launch-day hours. Do it on a quiet afternoon so the hunter morning stays free.

How to submit

  1. 01

    Create a free project

The project is the product. Plans are chosen per page, not as a subscription you have to keep.

  2. 02

Pick the link attribute you actually want

Reciprocal free is dofollow and needs a credit to ledepress.com while the page is live. A text link is enough; the badge is optional. Nofollow is free and needs no credit. $29 is dofollow, unlimited, and skips the five-a-day queue.

  3. 03

Open the live URL and inspect the anchor

The record is the published page. Confirm rel matches the plan. A screenshot of the pricing table is not the link.
